Brianna Bouius

Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture
Intern Architect

Brianna holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture from Laurentian University and brings her background in community-driven design, shaped by academic research and hands-on experience, to the MSS team. Her thesis explored how architecture can respond to social and contextual needs, reimagining rural schools as multi-functional community hubs that connect generations, support education, and strengthen civic life. She has experience as both a graduate teaching assistant and an architectural designer, and initially joined the MSS team for her Master’s co-op placement. Brianna is drawn to the intersection of vision and detail, moving easily between overall concepts and the fine points that bring them to life. She’s skilled at turning ideas into diagrams, renderings, and technical drawings that make a project’s purpose easy to understand and connect with. For her, great architecture begins with listening—attuning to the needs of people and place—and she keeps her perspective fresh by exploring new technologies and learning from those around her. Outside of work, Brianna’s happiest exploring a trail, getting to know a new city, or starting new art projects. She also has a competitive streak, especially when it comes to basketball and soccer—something that took shape growing up with four brothers.

“I’m motivated by the challenge of turning big ideas into spaces that truly serve their communities.”
